Psychoeducation is about understanding how ADHD may affect you, and then using that to learn ways to make life work better.
Psychoeducation online or in local groups
Many areas in the UK provide psychoeducation through NHS-commissioned services or third-sector and community organisations. It may be delivered online, face to face or in groups, and some services also offer one-to-one support.
No single course, book or method will suit everyone. Use what helps, leave what does not, and expect your needs to change with the situation.
We have tried to develop a useful list of resources, mostly from the UK but including international material where relevant. The information is based on the most up-to-date sources we could identify. Some material is older but remains relevant.
This site will endeavour to update the information where it can, but cannot guarantee that every item is the most up to date at any given time.
Below are some safeguards you can use when checking or viewing ADHD material.
What is safe to try?
Low-risk everyday strategies can be tried, adapted or stopped if they do not help. Medication changes, clinical advice and anything carrying a meaningful safety risk are not trial-and-error material: discuss those with an appropriate professional.
