Easy Read
Make the start physical and small
If you came here from the overload guide, choose one item from your parked list. It does not have to be the most important. The easiest item may be enough to get you moving.
Choose the simplest physical movement.
Put the letter in front of you. Pick up the broom. Put on one sock. The movement can be tiny, and it does not even have to belong to the task if another simple action helps your body begin moving.
Do the next movement you can see.
Open the letter. Place the broom on the floor. Put on the other sock. Do not plan the whole task.
Continue for as long as you feel able.
It does not matter if you do not complete the task. Starting and completing are different jobs.
If you still cannot move, try a different task.
Choose another small physical action. Leave this task where you can return to it later.
