Find what is stopping the work

Start at number 1. You do not need to do everything at once.

Write the exact thing you must produce.

For example: send one email; submit one file; prepare three points for the meeting.

Check what is missing.

Do you have the instructions, file, login, materials, time and a clear meaning of ‘finished’?

Ask for the missing thing now.

Send: “I am working on __. I need __ before I can complete it. Please send or clarify it.”

Ask somebody to work alongside you.

Sit with a colleague or study partner, or keep them on a call while you both work. Tell them the one thing you are starting.

Make the first ten-minute output.

Open the file, write the heading and add the first rough point. Do not improve it yet.

Send a factual update if the outcome is at risk.

State what is complete, what is blocked and the next realistic time or support needed.
